Forum International
Hello,
I just purchased a Forum International ceramic chafing dish with warming stand. It is part of the Ben Seibel collection. It appears to have some superficial cracks on the interior glazing so I assume it can be used on heat or in the oven. Can anyone tell me if it is oven and heat proof?my guess is it is the same as a pottery tagine where you have to use low or indirect heat.
Thanks!
Susan

Is it like one on etsy titled "1960s ben seibel pyramidcasserole"? I'm not sure I'd risk it in the oven if it has crazing.

Yes it is the pyramid casserole. Bummed bc I love actually cooking in vintage ware, not just looking at it. So basically it’s just a serving dish- don’t even light the warming candle?
