Porcelain Cream Jug with Sparrow Beak - Chinese Imari c.1720
After posting an early cream jug last week i have found another similar shaped anyway example which
feels like it maybe of Chinese decoration in a loose sense of the word i am not sure, The funny thing
is i have a good collection of early glass jugs but i seem to be slowly moving over to jugs of porcelain
and pottery nowa days and it feels quite exciting too. The jug above is small at 9 cm tall i would love
to know if it is early or made to look early as it does not seem great quality at all but has quite a few
early attributes or am i getting the wrong feel for porcelain?? Any ways thanks for checking it out Dan

Golly yours is a lot nicer than mine i cannot say i have seen these with lids in the past
i guess much to learn, The wear in glass tells a lot but with pottery it does not always seem to
be so conclusive the decoration on your piece is very well done i love the scroll? type work on
the lid and rim edges in particular. Your a one woman army for the things i have listed much appreciate
your knowledge and expertize thank you
