Stumped on my jardiniere!
Hello all! I've had this lovely jardiniere for quite some time.. always meant to get a plant in it well now I finally have! And I was wondering on the maker of it while I was admiring it with its plant now in it!
I have Google image searched.. found nothing the same.. looked online at others.. not found anything the same to give me an idea!
Would anyone here like to give their thoughts please?
I've had it a couple of years now.. was just a bargain buy from a charity shop so wasn't sold as any style or name or anything... truly stumped but would love to know!
This isn't its living place in the photo by the way... I moved it for more natural light for the pics!
I love it.. the bottom half of it reminds me of a Dalek
Thank you very much in advance

Re: Stumped on my jardiniere!
I'm guessing late 19th/early 20thC, but it doesn't look British.
If that number is 305 / 45, it may well be Continental Majolica, probably German/Austrian.

Ooooo! Thank you! I never thought Victorian when I bought it - I bought it because of the colour mainly as I have lots of ceramics in similar colour, it wasn't until I took pics of it today that I wondered maybe Victorian (because of the decorative pattern at the very top!) But I still thought I was probably way off (not at all an expert!)
I love it even more so with a plant in it now!
Thanks very much for taking the time!

Thank you! You guessed well judging by DD's answer!
The plant is an Areca Palm
The plant and the pot go very well together I think!
