Small Studio Pottery Axe Head Vase - Hans Coper Style - Unknown Mark

Very Nice Axe Vase in the style of Hans Coper but unfortunately not!!

Is has a mark but I cannot even begin to work it out.

Any ideas??

Peter Hayes is my first thought but it doesn't look like his mark

Peter Field also made similar pieces, but, again, I'm not seeing his FP monogram in the mark

It is definitely not Peter Hayes. I have seen a lot of his pieces, and have some myself. Nothing like his style.
I remember there was a potter in East Anglia who did this sort of Coper homage about ten years ago. Some of it was at auction under his name. But darn if I can remember his name.

I love it, its only small and lovely to hold as well to look at and I think a quality piece. I am going to pretend it's Hans Coper!!

I am very lucky - I live in Norwich and The Sainsbury Centre here has a large collection of Coper and Rie including some monumental Coper pieces.
