Mid Century interiors - what kind of plywood? Empty Mid Century interiors - what kind of plywood?

lots of original mid century homes feature plywood walls or partitions, but the plywood used isn't as pale as birch ply, its generally much warmer in tone, any idea what kind of plywood it would likely be?
