I've told him they're posted now, so hopefully he'll be along to discuss.

I don't know for sure but would have "swayed the other way".

Potty, I have looked at the squiggle on your piece and compared it with the more clear 'Yeap' and yours follows all the moves of the clearer ones. I will stick my neck out and say it is the same signature much more carelessly done.....I'm not the V&A though
Plus, he did make plates decorated in an oriental style AND incised his signature in grey stoneware. I'd put money on it being his.

I have never seen any of his work in grey stoneware like Potty's dish and I think that the incised signature in the batch of signatures that skay has loaded is in porcelain. All of the signatures in that batch on stoneware are painted, as have been all of the signatures on all of the pieces of stoneware by Yeap that I have seen.

Yes I can now confirm that Sigrun is not a man - quite the opposite actually

Not going to disagree, but I have noticed that the porcelain used in SM's picture and yours is a lot different? Yours is a lot "purer" and whiter. Is this a change from early to later Yeap items?
The stoneware on mine looks more like the top of SM's picture (grey stoneware), but a bit finer finish to the base, more like one of SM's brown stoneware bases.
Would think it was easy enough to use the "wrong" method of signing an item if you were a bit under the influence?
