Yes, you’ve got it! I’d forgotten she had a mark apart from the shell mark. But it’s not in the triangle section of the mark book! Very frustrating.
Still, it’s a good find and once again, I’m really indebted to you. Thanks, Ben

That is Really unusual with her personal mark on. Completely different from the normal designs. A very good find. Tho whether that is reflected in the value, is another matter..

Yes shame about the falling prices, but this is so good and unusual I will be keeping this one.

You are always so spot on Naomi!
Definitely Marianne de Trey, Have had several, and they are umistakeable. Not perhaps the best of decoration, but still of some reasonable worth.

Amazing! Spot on indeed, Naomi! In fact after you suggested it I googled and found the exact same bowl on here: https://vads.ac.uk/learning/csc/detrey/essay.html , fig. 37, about 3/4 down the page, mine is a tiny thing, only about 10 cm diameter hence the size of the mark being almost illegible. Thank you so very much fort his, really really grateful!

The back looks right and the covered shell stamp also. It's a very interesting one, which I imagine didn't go into the production range.

I'm guessing not by Marianne de Trey herself or it would have been signed or have her personal stamp?

My understanding is that she didn't use her personal seal until the production pottery ceased.
You could assume that she might have decorated the "one-off" dishes, as part of her duties as "lead potter" but not having spoken with her or seen anything written down from a reliable source to confirm this, it is just an assumption.

Thin stoneware bowl and cup - Marianne de Trey
I was
a bit surprised to find a match (on the BISPM site) for the mark on this pretty bowl and cup in the marks of Marianne de Trey - I’d appreciate a second (or third, or fourth) opinion! It appears to be very thinly thrown stoneware brushed with white slip, very nicely made but the cup has distorted in the kiln because it’s so thin.
The mark isn’t like any off her marks I’ve come across no before - if it is Marianne de Trey, dies this temple me anything a bout when it was made? Thank you.

Normally the dTe monogram is in a triangle but on rare occasions it’s in a square
