Poole Pottery 1960-1980 Part One - Page 13 Empty Poole Lamp Bases

Post by Adam20 July 12th 2011, 4:30 pm

Two Poole Lamp Base in beige or wheat colour - not sure of actual date but am guessing they are post 1960s and pre 1980 (I've looked on google and in these posts and can't find anything) and the fittings look anything from 1970 onwards.

Anyone know date and range name - I havn't got any Poole books as it''s not genarally my collecting field - I know these are pretty boring but at least they are practical.

Marked Poole to hollow base

Nice Lee, I particularly like the green / yellow one in the middle and the light blue one front left. Both Studio I assume?

Middle one I brought in from Australia for under £50 including postagea while back!
Blue one bottom left, I have basically identical, and also owned that one, and another basically identical. 2 were blue delphis mark, the one I own now is later studio mark. Very unusual plates, really nice pieces. Think I paid £100 for the one you have Lee. It was the time when I brought everything and that one came through James Miles.....
I also owned otp middle, and I think top right.

new to this Forum, so for those who haven't seen it, more pictures of how good Poole can be! All 8" plates.

Checked the picture of yours and I mean middle right as the Australia plate. Middle middle has a small chip I think or something similar? I remember it going through ebay a few months ago I think.....?
