Snazzy page-turning catalogue is here

Looks like a studio pottery sale 3rd Dec (though they call it "British Art Pottery")

And it will also probably cost you a bomb to buy anything from them! They must have one of the highest Buyer's Premiums outside London.22% + VAT.= 26.4%.Then of course if you use one of the Online buying platforms that takes it over 30%.....

I think the provincial prize must go to the posh Scots auctioneers Lyon & Turnbull. Buyer's premium 25% + VAT=30%. The ultra posh London auctioneers are a law unto themselves of course. But even Bonhams is only 25% + VAT. And to think, back in the 80's there was no such thing a Buyer's commission!

i sold a couple of pieces with W&W a couple of years ago - never again. The commission and other fees are extortionate and to be honest, the attitude of the staff there, stank. Unless you're selling something worth thousands, they talk to you as if they're doing you a favour allowing your item in their saleroom.

Do you have to register to view the catalogue or is it a problem with my browser that I can't see it?

It appears that 100% sold and generally at prices much higher than the estimates. Did anyone go or bid?

Just when I thought it was dead in the water, Art pottery is selling again, but they
were pretty good examples.
