Good stuff Most Excellent

Btw, was there any link between Chelsea Pottery and Guernsey Pottery? Some items seem to have similar glaze and decoration.

Wish we had a better list of signatures, like the Aldermaston one. I like that one styleinvasion. Is it thin and lightly thrown?

The Naomi cover piece that AJD01 say is by JM is the same as my candlesticks. Very similar style and glazes.

Someone delighted in throwing those dishes wafer thin, I have some. Was it Joyce? Certainly and experienced thrower. I don't know how Chelsea worked - did someone churn out blanks and others decorate?

Whilst this dish is not marked on the back, i feel fairly confident putting it straight here instead of the 'id' thread.  Mods, please move if you feel necessary.

Haven't got a clue to the artist or even what animal this is!  Shrugs

I took an image of the large dish below on my phone some time ago, saying that I would see if I could find out the artist who decorated it.

Yes it is Chelsea, but MT doesn't tally with anyone on the list of decorators I have.
I think there are quite a few unrecorded ones.

I have an example of the real "Wafer-thin" pottery, you can actually bend it, honestly! well you could until I broke it!
A very light, delicate piece, incised "Chelsea pottery" with the ying & yang mark. Foil label says "Made in England"
I've never seen another anything like it. Unsigned, 12 in diameter.
