Re: Bitossi (Italy)
It has a couple of glaze flake chips which I have seen on all the Rimini blue items I have had. I have never seen these colours used before and I can't find anything remotely like it coming from Bitossi. Aldo Londi? or someone else?

Yes, it’s Bitossi. I dont know what date it is. I assume the stamped Italy mark means it’s late 20thC

Re: Bitossi (Italy)
Thanks for the feedback Naomi, much appreciated.
I meant to update earlier, but got distracted. I discovered the design, it's Art Nouveau, circa 1960s.

Worst than that the system still showed that the PAYPAL transaction had not completed. I was stuck in the system going round and round for days.
Anyway I was looking for the rooster / cockerel to go with them.
Somewhere else is saying;
Bitossi Orange 'Siviglia Colorato' ( Seville Coloured ) Range Rooster Design by Aldo Londi 1964, 1969.
Decorated with impressed and sgraffitto stylised flowers and glossy orange glaze.
?
Good day. I have this little character too and was wondering if there was a cockerel to go with it. Did you get any joy?

One of each sold recently on ebay. I missed them. Something like 120 hen 100 Cockell. I only paid 65 for both but that was 10 years back o.ne pops up every few years!

Thanks for your reply. I have had mine for about the same length of time. I have to say that I like the orange range rather than the blue but a bit of both makes for a colourful homelife. Prices have gone bonkers though and with so many being across the Atlantic opportunities to buy are limited. Fortunately I don't just collect Bitossi!

Re: Bitossi (Italy)
I agree completely about collecting more than one thing. Keep an open mind and trust your own judgement. That way every now and then you will buy something wonderful that is a delight to your newly opened eyes but also takes you down a new rabbit hole of research and reading to a place you neve knew existed in a world far far away, or just to Ewenny, Rye or Wrotham :)
Re: Bitossi (Italy)
Very nice.
I’ve not seen another like it. Most of us are based in the U.K. and the US had a lot more and varied pieces of Bitossi imported from Italy than we saw in the U.K.
