Re: Farnham Pottery (Surrey)
Thought I would add this here just for reference. It is an oddity to be sure.
The design is that of a Farnham owl. But it is made out of copper with an enamel interior. Never seen one like it. As close as I have got is one made in Pewter by Liberty stamped Tudric. This one has no marks, is mid sized about 8 inches tall and is as heavy as you would expect being made out of metal.

Re: Farnham Pottery (Surrey)
Liberty acted as sole agents for Barum ware between 1882 and 1914 and were granted use of Brannams owl jug design for the production of a pewter version about 1902 , so no Farnham involvement , they do look a little similar though .

Think these are mislabeled. They are Farnham owls. Not seen any CH Brannam owls like this, Baron made some but even they look different to this.
If they are up for auction I would love to know the auction house?

Re: Farnham Pottery (Surrey)
There is an equally big one at Allens Gallery, Alton, which has a blue glaze and cream inside and owl faces. Just checking my photos and I see it also has the same rolled pair of handles on the edge.

Naomi the Brown wash bowl and jug I posted are the same size. It's shown below with two smaller additions to the aviary. I'm very surprised that the handle is still on the was jug as it holds x4 litres, the bowl was badly damage.
Brown 300mm 4000ml
Blue 190mm 1000ml
Green 100mm 125ml

Those three together remind me of the TWTWTW sketch with John Cleese looking down on Ronnie Barker who was looking down on Ronnie Corbett. (H)owls of laughter.....

Having to type this with my left hand as the pig I bought last week cost me an arm and a leg from forum-seller. Could not resist him.
BTW the Farnham collectors site is down - anyone know the owner?

That was a very nice pig
Yes, a great shame about the Farnham site. Spoke to Ed and he doesn’t think it’s coming back.

Whaat? Shame - If they were kind and sent me the html I would happily host a downloadable viewable HTML version. Not happy that it's just lost, Dan tell me what the problem was?
Re: Farnham Pottery (Surrey)
Borrowed a decent camera from work and spent Sunday doing photos. It does improve your chances of getting a decent unfuzzy shot
Re: Farnham Pottery (Surrey)
First time I have looked at this thread.
Some very nice pieces.
Tho..why do I get the phrase running through my mind.
'Should have gone to Specsavers....'
All d'em short sighted Owls!
