Re: Denby Pottery (Derbyshire)
Hi….I have tried to read the label it’s in script and half missing so no useful info on it….a majolica version sold at Bamfords and there is a majolica version of his shape with money box slot on eBay as I type….I would think your spot on about the glaze being a trial..

Yes, I would agree David, just count all those different colours! lovely piece.
Also the unusual style of decoration around the neck and the foot.

Sorry but you don't by any chance have a rough idea of its worth, I can't find anything like it online.
Thank you

Re: Denby Pottery (Derbyshire)
We can only go by what other Denby vases have sold (or not sold) for on ebay, and then it's only a broad range, roughly from £10-£50. The electric blue glazed ones are the most popular.

Re: Denby Pottery (Derbyshire)
This shape was used for "Gay Border" in 1948, and I'm pretty sure for
"Tibet Ware" 1939, and maybe some others, but as a plain undecorated piece,
it is not of any great value unfortunately.

Re: Denby Pottery (Derbyshire)
So far, it seems only the size 3 lamb, as here, was done in a cottontail version.
The glaze is a little wishy washy on this one. Get a wad of cotton wool for it's tail.

Re: Denby Pottery (Derbyshire)
Yes Denby by Glyn, These scenes are more usually seen on mugs and tankards,
I don't recall seeing a dish before.
