One on the left is marked 095 on the base , one the right is about 1" taller at 11"

This is a slightly more unusual bertoncello vase ,31cms high sort of gunmetal colour going into green with tube lined orange glaze,marked on base 1/A and a moulded signature that I have only seen twice before but not as clear as this one Ed

Hi pip, ok here goes the RR marks on the green vase I posted is by an artist ,ceramist, designer called Roberto Rigon born in 1929 in vicenza Italy. (you can google the name and plenty of stuff will come up on his workshop ) anyway there was nothing about bertoncello on his site so I emailed him and sent pic of vase as well, I received a very nice reply this morning from his son danilo, he was delighted with the pic and was going to show his father later , he confirmed that it was one of there very first pieces they done . more ....

He said the similarity to the bertoncello was because his dad worked earlier for the bertoncello factory designing for a few years and that is why some of the more extravagant oatmeal coloured vases with RR are roberto's work , the mark A/1 on the base idicates a first the designs have names and this one is called "Dany" yes he named them after his children , believe it or not his mum named him after danny kay the actor , who he cannot remember , (phew!), ther has been interest in their old stuff and he hopes to update his web site some time .
