What range is this and what does the 7 mean? - Lovatt of Langley
First of all I am amazed at the knowledge in this site. I am pretty sure someone knows the answers so here goes.
Is this a milk jug with the filter to block cream?
Based on other answers given the jug’s mark suggests Langley Mill Pottery 1930’s. Is that right?
What does the 7 mean
Is there any other info available?

Re: Langley Mill Pottery (Lovatt) - Derbyshire.
A standard "chocolate ware" coffee pot missing it's lid.
Made for a long time, yes this one is from the 1930s.
The 7 could be the throwers/turners mark or the size code.

Langley were Lovatt and Lovatt of Langley Nr Nottingham. This mark was used from 1931-62. They were taken over by Bourne Denby in 1959, but a slightly changed mark was used from 1962 under the Langley name,

Thank you! I would not have guessed a coffee pot. The filter looks too big to stop grounds.

Re: Langley Mill Pottery (Lovatt) - Derbyshire.
Yes it's vase shape 322, Soraya, designed in 1968.
I have never seen a list of decorator's monograms for
this period, so it's unrecorded.

Re: Langley Mill Pottery (Lovatt) - Derbyshire.
The range is called "Sycamore", designed by Glyn Colledge in 1961.
