Re: Eric Leaper
It may be the photo's or just how I am looking, but it looks even more exaggerated /stylised than the other.
Great deal Dan, it is a really nice piece.

Re: Eric Leaper
Hi there I have just joined this forum and I own three pieces of Eric Leaper Newlyn Pottery I would like to share. The large stylised bull has a possible repair to one of the horns although going by the length it could just be a firing anomaly. The large Bull/Lion is perfect as is the vase which is in a design I haven't seen anywhere else. Hope you like them Steve

Multicolored triangle plate - handwritten signature - Eric Leaper
Good day everyone.
Triangle multicolored plate, hand signed on the base.
The main color of the glaze is green, in the center three free form "petals" formed by crystalline glaze (?), if I'm not mistaken. The design colors are mainly blue with violet/purple gradient. Between "petals" on the green color of glaze, brown color present in free form.
Base is unglazed. I believe, it is hand painted in pinkish color. Signature incised, and white clay is visible in it.
Approx. sides dim.: 6 1/2" x 6 1/2" x 6 1/2";
approx. height - 7/8"
Crazing is minor and looks rather like a few are not straight long lines, than netting. A few scratches on the surface present.
Signature is an absolute puzzle for me.
Plate was purchased in Florida in an estate sale.
If anybody could recognize the work, or decipher the signature, I will greatly appreciate it.
Thank you in advance.

Re: Eric Leaper
I think this is Eric Leaper, Newlyn. The teawares are often unmarked like my mugs.

Re: Eric Leaper
no point in using evri. - you save 50p and lose the object. Royal mail is very reasonable now and better - more professional staff who care - just my experience

Depends on the local staff, I find the exact opposite. Though if i am sending something of any value, I always try and use DPD where possible.
