Thanks. Knew I could rely on you Denbydump. Any idea when it was produced.

Re: Denby Pottery (Derbyshire)
This is Denby "Baroque", 1992.
There are several decorative items to compliment the tableware range.
It could well be a second.

Denby England Pottery. "Magnolia".
I have a piece marked "Denby England" with a blue stamp. It appears to be the Troubadour pattern but I am uncertain. I thought that it may be a vase but have not found any item that matches this piece. I thought that it is perhaps a container missing the lid. It measures approximately 20.3cm (8 inches) tall and 18.5cm (7 inches) wide.
Thank you
Thank you

Thank you.
I assume it is a vase and not a container missing the lid?

Re: Denby Pottery (Derbyshire)
Most unusual. Probably not a trial, as its marked, maybe a one off comission?
Almost certainly by Glyn, and would sit nicely alongside the Cheviot ramge.
See my funny little lampbase on this page.

Re: Denby Pottery (Derbyshire)
Not a shape or colourway I have seen before. The Brown is from Homestead brown.
Re: Denby Pottery (Derbyshire)
Thanks again DD. Yes, I had forgotten about the mark being absent on trial pieces. Nice to think it was pre-cheviot as the 'squiggles' are similar.

Re: Denby Pottery (Derbyshire)
I have two of the above, a cup and a larger pouring jug. There's also a matching brown glazed saucer - but that has a later stamp so the original was probably broken.

Re: Denby Pottery (Derbyshire)
They did allsorts of undocumented one-offs,
The palette is certainly cheviot, and probably done at that time.

Design looks a bit like Glyn Colledge don’t you think.

Re: Denby Pottery (Derbyshire)
Could be. I can't remember the backstamp.
May have been a special/export/cancelled order.
